Comparative legal systems. An introduction

The book introduces students (undergraduate and postgraduate) to comparative law, but is also designed to support jurists entering the field of comparative law. Written in a clear style and supplemented by normative and case law materials, it leads the reader through the aims of comparative law, its methods, its history and the relationship with other sciences. The book then describes some of the major legal systems of the world, both in the Western legal tradition - specifically analyzing the Common law and the Civil law family - and beyond it, offering students a useful teaching tool for navigating the complexities of the global legal phenomenon.
